Summary of Surah Al-Abasa

Surah Abas is Makki, it has 46 verses, and from here to the end, each surah consists of one bow, so there is no need to repeat the number of bows. At the beginning of this surah, the story of the blind companion Hazrat Abdullah bin Umm Makhtoum (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) is mentioned, who came to the service of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) to seek knowledge at a time when he was busy inviting a few Quraysh leaders to Islam. , his coming at the time of such an important engagement made you physically uncomfortable, and you refused to answer his words; upon him, these verses of Surah Abs were revealed in which Allah warned you. After that, whenever the Holy Prophet saw Hazrat Ibn Umm Maktoum (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ), he used to greet him and say, “These are the ones because of whom Allah warned me, and he would ask them if there was anything they did.” If so, please tell me that despite being blind, you gave him the headquarters in Madinah on the occasion of the two conquests. And it is the argument of righteousness. If God! If the Qur’an were your own word, then you would never have mentioned such verses in it in which you yourself have been asked. He is the one who forgets his origin and becomes disobedient before Allah. In the next verses, there are proofs of the power and unity of God Almighty (24-32), and at the end, the horrible scene of the Day of Judgment is described when people are afraid and come near. He will forget even the closest relationships, he will be self-sufficient, no one will worry about anyone, everyone will be consumed by his own grief, success will shine on many faces, and the humiliation and darkness of failure will cover many faces. Will be. (33-42)
