Summary of Surah At-Takathur
Surah At-Takathur is Makki, and it has eight verses. In this surah, those people are condemned who only make the life of this world their goal and are engaged in gathering the fuel of this world see their selfishness. They seem to have to live forever in the world, but suddenly, death comes. Because their plans fall apart and they have to move from the Qasr to the grave, these people are threatened that they will be questioned about all their deeds on the Day of Judgment.
