Assalamu Alaikum My question is, is it allowed to do Aqeeqa at any age of the child? Just as there are 7 shares in one cow during Qurbani, can we too give Aqeeqa of 3 boys in one cow or is it necessary to give two goats? Please explain in the light of Qur'an and Hadees...Thanks.

It is desirable (Musthahab) to give Aqiqa on the 7th day of the birth of the child. In case of inability it could also be given on the 14th or the 21st day. It is also Musthahab in Aqiqa to give 2 goats for a boy and one goat for a girl. However in the event of any inconvenience in doing so it is also allowed to take part in shares of ox.
