Importance of the Prophet’s Sunnah (ﷺ)

The path through which the devotees of Sunnah Muhammad () will pass

Will awaken every particle of this path

Allah, the Exalted, created the human statue with His hand and gave it the title of Ashraf al-Makhluqat. Also, seek refuge from Him to reach the destination of God’s pleasure; a person needs a model, an ideal, and a mirkavan who can follow in his footsteps and adopt the sign of the destination to achieve eternal success.
Allah Ta’ala bestowed a great favor on the Muslim Ummah, and He gave a savior in the form of Khatam-ul-Nabieen Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (ﷺ), a unique and unique; this bright lamp of guidance and goodness appeared from the horizon of Jabal Faran…
Whose book of life, every page and page, every topic and title, and every word and syllable is a bright lamp of guidance in every age and every field. The desert dwellers of Arabia followed him and ruled over Rome, Persia, Arabia, and Ajam.

Sunnah is a natural requirement

The laws and regulations of sharia have their place, but nature also has some requirements. There are some rules of love. Human nature requires that the greater the benefactor, the more inclined nature is towards it and wants to be painted in its color. The Muslims have done such things in the love of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) that the world cannot set an example of him. And here, the patriots are concerned about his ummah at all times, whether it is the throne or the floor, health or disease, happiness and sorrow, sickness or resurrection, the field of misery, so there is only one call, one call all the time.

The Prophet (ﷺ) loves us so much and may he have so many favors for us. Despite this, if a Muslim leaves the Saints as Sunnah’s, then where is the justice? Of course, we’re forgetting something!

Following the Sunnah in the Holy Qur’an

Following the Sunnah in the Eyes of the Qur’an, Allah has ordered us to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) in different ways in the Qur’an, which means that whether you like it or not, whether you want it or not, you have to follow the Beloved Prophet (ﷺ). That is why Allah considered the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) to be the best example. And said,

Means,

There is indeed a good model for you in the Messenger of Allah. (33:21)

And said:

Translation,

Whoever obeys the Messenger obeys Allah. (4:80)

And said:

Means,

Say (O Prophet): “If you really love Allah, then follow me, and Allah shall love you…..” (3:31)

In this verse, Allah made his love conditional on following the Prophet (ﷺ).

Means,

And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, abstain (from it). (59:7)

Following the Sunnah in the light of the sayings of the Prophet (ﷺ)

The Prophet (ﷺ) is khatam-un-nabiyyin. He knew what the status of the Prophet and the Messenger was. And what is the significance of His command and words? If anyone disobeys, he will be like the previously misguided nations, the people of ‘Aad, Thamud, etc. That is why the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged his ummah to obey in time. So, he ﷺ said:

Translation,

You must therefore follow my sunnah and that of the rightly guided Caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. (Mishkat al-Masabih)

In the same way he said:

وَمن أَحْيَا سُنَّتِي فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي وَمَنْ أَحَبَّنِي كَانَ مَعِي فِي الْجنَّة

Translation,

He who loves my sunnah has loved me, and he who loves me will be with me in paradise. (Mishkat al-Masabih)

Following the Sunnah and the Companions (رضي الله عنهم) of The Holy Prophet (ﷺ)

Arabs were standing on the brink of degradation before the Messenger of Allah. They had reached the last limits of misguidance. Goodness was taking their last breaths in them.

But then their bodies turned around; their lives changed; they scratched the walls of Caesar, angels came down to help them, their tidings of heaven came, and angels sent them greetings, seas and rivers gave them paths, success and Kamrani kissed their feet.

Why did this help come down?

Because the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) had completely molded themselves into the mold of the Sunnah, they used to adhere to the ways of the Prophet (ﷺ) and did not accept any opinion against the Sunnah, and did things against the Sunnah. But the fire would be a whirlwind. Never think if there is any benefit in it or not. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (رضي الله عنه) said:

I will never leave such a thing that the Prophet (ﷺ) did. I am afraid I will go astray if I leave the Sunnah.

Therefore, all the Companions (رضي الله عنهم) were followers of the Sunnah. Whoever knew about the practice that is Sunnah, would adopt it. And the followers did a lot of work in teaching and propagating the events of the life of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) by asking the Companions about all these narrations and hadiths and going to each other’s door traveling to different areas and researching, protecting the precious collection of Hadith and Sunnah. As a result of his tireless efforts, every moment of the life of the Prophet (ﷺ) is safe and a guide for humanity. Even today, the life and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) is a lesson for us. If we seek guidance from Him in our practical life, character, and morals and are ready to change ourselves according to His requirements, then mercy and blessings can still be revealed today.

Dar Fishani turned the drops into rivers

Enlightened the heart and enlightened the eyes

It was not himself who became the guide of others on the path

What was the look that turned men into messiahs?
