Surah Al-Kawthar with English and Urdu translation
Summary of Surah Al-Kawthar
Surah al-Kawsar is Makki, and it has three verses; three purposes are described in this surah: Allah’s favor and kindness to the Prophet (ﷺ), that He gave him Kausar, the river of Paradise where the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) will be on the Day of Judgment. The Prophet (ﷺ) will feed his Ummah to the brim. Since the meaning of Kausar is the abundance of good, therefore, Prophethood, Book, Wisdom, Knowledge, Truth, Intercession, Maqam Mahmood, Miracles, and the Holy Qur’an are also declared as Kausar. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was commanded to observe prayer and sacrifice for Allah in order to express his gratitude for the great blessing of Kausar. You were given the good news that your enemies will be disgraced, and their names will be erased, so that is what happened.
